IFS Channel & Services Partner

IFS built on a digital twin of your operations.

Peregrine, our proprietary AI system, builds a digital twin from your processes, decisions, and data. You review it. You decide what should change. Then IFS is configured to match the model you approved.

IFS fits operational complexity. Our methodology fits IFS.

Software on a bad process just makes the bad process run fast. At enterprise scale, that becomes expensive to unwind.

IFS Cloud is built for organizations where the operating environment is too complex for mid-market platforms. Configuration decisions carry regulatory, contractual, and financial consequences. Our engagements start earlier than configuration: we map your operations, score your organizational readiness, and build the first version of your digital twin during the Implementation Blueprint. Configuration comes after.

What makes a Gray Matter Logic IFS engagement different.

Industry operating experience before IFS expertise

Our senior consultants come to our IFS practice with prior careers running the operations IFS automates. They have managed the workflows they are now configuring across aerospace, defense, manufacturing, energy, and field services. That is the foundation Pragmatek built its IFS practice on, and it is what carries into every IFS engagement we run today.

The digital twin, reviewed before configuration

Our consultants spend the first phase of the engagement learning how your specific business actually runs. Peregrine, our proprietary AI system, structures their findings into a digital twin of your operation. You review it. You decide what should change. Configuration matches the model you approved.

Regulatory complexity as a specialty

ITAR, DCAA cost accounting, DFARS, AS9100, ISO 9001, FDA 21 CFR Part 11. Delivery experience in the compliance frameworks that drive IFS adoption in defense, aerospace, and regulated manufacturing. Built into how we configure and validate IFS from day one.

Running IFS Apps 10? The clock is ticking.

Standard IFS Apps 10 support hit a 50 percent cost upcharge in March 2026. It doubles in 2027.

For most customers, migrating to IFS Cloud now costs less than paying escalating support fees on a platform approaching end of life. Done right, the migration is also an opportunity to redesign what did not work in the prior implementation.

Every Apps 10 migration we run begins with a migration assessment: two to three weeks of focused analysis that builds the first version of your digital twin. What moves. What gets retired. What your data migration looks like. A realistic timeline. You walk out with a model of your current state and a defensible plan for what comes next. Scoped and priced upfront.

Post-go-live is where most partners disappear. We stay.

Our Enterprise Assistance Program keeps your IFS environment running at peak performance. System monitoring, bug fixes, migration management, and quarterly optimization reviews. We manage your hosting, on-premise or Azure for IFS Cloud, handle updates, and enforce version currency to prevent support lockouts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the digital twin you keep mentioning?

A structured model of how your business actually runs, captured across your processes, your decisions, your data, and your compliance requirements. Peregrine, our proprietary AI system, helps our consultants build and maintain the twin as your engagement progresses. You review it. You decide what should change. Then IFS is configured to match the model you approved. The twin is yours at the end of the Blueprint, and stays yours throughout the engagement.

What is the difference between an IFS partner and an IFS integrator?

A partner brings industry operating experience into the room and the judgment to tell you when your requirements specification is wrong before you spend a year building to it. Every implementation failure follows the same pattern: requirements gathered too fast, process redesign skipped, organizational change underestimated, scope creep unmanaged. Our methodology is a structural defense against each.

How long does a typical IFS implementation take?

Focused implementations run 3 to 6 months. Multi-site with moderate complexity runs 6 to 12 months. Large-scale global programs run 12 to 24 months. The Blueprint tells you where your engagement falls before scope is committed.

What does an IFS Apps 10 migration to IFS Cloud involve?

A short migration assessment that tells you exactly what you are dealing with before you commit, followed by the full migration to IFS Cloud. Typical timeline is 6 to 18 months depending on complexity. The assessment is scoped and priced upfront. If you proceed with the full migration, the assessment engagement is credited against the project.

What are CRIMs and why do they matter?

Custom reports, integrations, and modifications. Legacy customizations accumulated over years, many undocumented, some conflicting with IFS Cloud architecture. We audit every one during the Blueprint, so the migration or implementation plan accounts for them explicitly.

Does the Blueprint commit me to using Gray Matter Logic for the implementation?

No. The Implementation Blueprint is a standalone engagement. You own the deliverables regardless of whether you proceed with us. About 85% of Blueprint engagements proceed to a Phase 1 project with us. When they don't, we say so plainly.

Do you implement IFS FSM and IFS EAM as standalone modules, or only as part of full IFS Cloud?

Both. IFS FSM and IFS EAM can run standalone where the business case supports it, and frequently do for service-heavy or asset-intensive organizations. Most of our implementations are full IFS Cloud scope, though, because asset, field service, and core ERP typically share the same system of record at enterprise scale.

What is the Pragmatek connection?

Gray Matter Logic was formed in August 2024 from the combination of Open Source Integrators and Pragmatek. Pragmatek brought a multi-decade IFS practice, deep relationships with the IFS ecosystem, and an installed base of complex manufacturing and A&D customers. The original Pragmatek operator-first consulting model is the foundation of our IFS practice today.

Do you offer ongoing IFS support after go-live?

Yes. Our Enterprise Assistance Program provides monthly monitoring, support, hosting including IFS Cloud on Azure, and migration and update management. We enforce version currency to prevent support lockouts.
